Liverpool trampolining sensation Zak Perzamanos looking to secure World Championships spot

Liverpool-born trampolining sensation Zak Perzamanos will be hoping to secure a place at the World Championships in November by competing in the British Trampoline Championships in Birmingham this weekend.

He will be competing at the Trampolining, Tumbling and DMT British Championships for the title of British Champion and will be desperate to add to his recent successes after securing a bronze medal at the World Cup held in Portugal in July.

The event will take place at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, opened in 1991, with a seated capacity of 15,800. Of the 300 gymnasts that will compete across the three disciples, only 14 will be selected to represent the host nation in November which, as with the British Trampoline Championships, will be held at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. This represents a unique opportunity for British gymnasts as it will be the first time that the country has hosted the Trampoline World Championships in 12 years. At last years World Championships, Zak helped Great Britain to an All-around Team World Title.

The Trampoline World Championships in November will see 100 gymnasts from over 50 nations compete across the eight-day competition in Birmingham, with this competition itself a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
