Taking to Reddit, one Liverpool supporter used a Peep Show reference to explain the club's results this season by tweaking a quote from character Super Hans.
In the hit Channel 4 TV show, Super Hans tells one of the two main characters — Jeremy — 'the secret ingredient is crime' when describing why the chocolate bar he stole tastes so good.
His line was brilliantly changed to 'the secret ingredient is going 1-0 down', which went down a storm with the Reds faithful.
One rival fan commented: «Any Super Hans reference is an automatic upvote from me.»
Another said: «Four comebacks Jurgen? Four? That’s insane», in reference to character Mark Corrigan's 'four naan breads' line.
A third added: «I saw the score this morning and instinctively knew, 'we went 1-0 down in the first 20 minutes, didn't we?'»
And this supporter messaged: «I know this 1-0 down and comeback FC / 2nd half FC works brilliantly but OMG, my heart is taking a beating!»
Meanwhile one simply stated: «They should be paying me to watch this s***.»
