Lorch calls it quits with actress partner

South African actress Natasha Tahane has confirmed her break-up with Mamelodi Sundowns footballer Thembinkosi Lorch.

The story

On Monday, Tahane issued confirmation of their split on Instagram, writing: "Thembinkosi Lorch and I have mutually decided to part ways romantically. 

"Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents. 

"I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life."

Reports of the couple's relationship first surfaced in 2021 and the two share one child together, which is said to be a baby boy. The former Orlando Pirates star was also rumoured to have tied the knot with the Blood and Water actress in a traditional ceremony in November 2022.

Thahane is an ambassador for the international cosmetic brand Garnier, while Lorch played his first game for Downs this past weekend against his former employers Pirates. 

He started the match as a number nine and he was withdrawn from the pitch after 62 minutes played on his debut.

His new boss Rulani Mokwena gave his verdict on Lorch's underwhelming display, as he hinted that the 30-year-old was not in the right state of mind. 

“We can all do better, starting with the coach, and of course, even with the new signings, we can do better; it is difficult, I know, and I understand,” said Mokwena, according to FarPost.

“Also, with Lorch, the pressure, the talks, his former club and all the other things also did not help him.
