OLD TRAFFORD, MANCHESTER — Erik ten Hag's Manchester United host Tottenham as they play their final game for two weeks as the team will enjoy their winter break.
The Dutchman is desperate to build on his side's win over Wigan in the FA Cup earlier in the week after a poor outing in the league last time out against Nottingham Forest. "We have to build on that," Ten Hag said. "But it is a different game. A different opponent, attractive opponent, and we are really looking forward [and are] excited about this game."
A win for United this afternoon would see them close the gap on the top four, although those teams currently occupying those positions will have a game in hand.
Spurs will feel they have to pick up three points if they're to stick with the teams at the top and they're set to be boosted by the return of Micky van de Ven.
The Sporting News will be following the Man United vs. Tottenham match live, providing score updates, commentary, and highlights as they happen.
