Olympique de Marseille are pushing to sign Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert (22). RMC Sport are reporting this Friday that Les Phocéens are close to agreeing a deal with the France international. Foot Mercato have confirmed that Marseille, who will host BlueCo-owned RC Strasbourg tonight, is working on a deal to bring Truffert from the Roazhon Park to the Vélodrome.
Gennaro Gattuso’s Marseille are in the market for a left-back for this winter’s transfer window, as they look to provide competition for Renan Lodi. It has been reported by Foot Mercato that the southern Ligue 1 club were negotiating a deal for Hellos Verona’s Scottish left-back Josh Doig.
At only 22, Truffert has already played more than a hundred Ligue 1 games. He has featured once for Les Bleus, during a Nations League away loss against Denmark before the 2022 World Cup, for which he was not called up. Truffert is tied with his formative club with a contract set to expire in 2026.
