Pictures have been released of the four musicians who are aiming to continue Gerry Marsden’s legacy.
A hunt was launched earlier this year to uncover the hidden musical talent on the streets of Merseyside. Entitled The Greatest Scouse Busker Hunt, applications were taken from across the region, including at the Celebrating Bold Street and Castle Street events.
Now, four locals have been selected to compete in the final taking place next week, which will take place at the Cavern Club. The winner will receive a free recording session in the Glass studio in Birkenhead, where Gerry Marsden recorded his final number.

Prizes will also include a unique Liver Bird marking the winner's musical achievement. A version of the bird was presented to the late Queen and Sir Paul McCartney was given one as a birthday present by his brother Mike. As well as this, there will be gifts from the Busker Whiskey Company who are supporting the event.
The Fab Four Scouse buskers in the final are student and sales assistant Ellie Hayes, 19, from Eastham, YouTube content creator John-Paul Cumberlidge, 42, from West Kirby, railway clerk Geoff Chandler, 59, from Wallasey and student Grace Chloe 23, from Liverpool.
Each busker will perform two numbers each. For the final, they will perform on stage at the Cavern and will be judged by a celebrity panel.
The evening will be hosted by Liverpool actor and singer Daniel Taylor. There will be music from Daniel as John Lennon, a half hour tribute to The Eagles by Merseyside band Silk and Sixties songs from guitar legend Gary Murphy.
