According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain are set to rival Chelsea for the signing of Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo (18).
Reports emerged on Monday that Chelsea were on the verge of signing the Brazil U23 international, who has played 35 games in all competitions this season. Earlier in November, the Corinthians player revealed that the Premier League club had a “strong interest” in signing him. However, Romano reports that the race to sign the defensive midfielder remains open. The Italian added that there is not yet an agreement in place with Chelsea and one is unlikely to take form imminently.
PSG are among the clubs that remain interested in signing Moscardo, however, Les Parisiens will face competition, not only from Chelsea but also from other Premier League clubs. It is unclear whether PSG are interested in signing Moscardo in January, or whether he is instead a target for the summer transfer window.
