Roy Keane shares major Roberto De Zerbi doubt as Liverpool manager problem raised
Roy Keane has "doubts" over Roberto De Zerbi's ability to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
The Brighton manager is being strongly linked with the Reds job when Klopp steps down in the summer. De Zerbi has earned plaudits for Brighton's style of play after taking them into Europe following a sixth placed-finish last season.
But the Italian has not enjoyed great longevity at any club he has previously managed. A near three-year spell at Sassuolo is the longest he has ever spent at one club, having lasted just over a year at previous club Shakhtar Donetsk after spending even less time at Benevento and Palermo in Italy.

And former Manchester United captain Keane has shared why he thinks De Zerbi's CV is a cause for concern having not managed a team which finished higher than sixth in Europe's top five leagues before.
When asked if the Brighton boss is too fiery for Liverpool, Keane told Sky Sports: "I wouldn’t go that far. Every manager is different, he’s his own personality, that’s a big plus to him.
"Sometimes when a manager is asked these questions you hope he makes a commitment to the club, I suppose there’s a bit of honesty there and he’s not sure where his future is. It’s a concern for Brighton over the next few months and years with what they’re planning.
"I look at his CV and there’s question marks if he is ready for that step yet, for Liverpool I’ve got my doubts. His teams play a lovely brand of football but I still have doubts about what he’s won to take that job."
