South Africa's Percy Tau has now been labelled as one of the best signings Al Ahly have made in recent years by an Egyptian great.
Al Ahly and Zamalek are set go head to head in the final of the Egypt Cup, which will played at the Al-Awwal Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

Ahmed Hossam, more popularly known as Mido, was speaking ahead of the encounter when he highlighted a key individual battle between the Bafana Bafana attacker and Egypt left-back Ahmed Fatouh that could influence the outcome of the game.
The defender has been shy of first team minutes in recent times after sustaining an injury during the Pharaoh's round of 16 defeat to DR Congo at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.
The 25-year-old was ruled out for a period of four weeks, missing Zamalek's Egyptian Premier League encounter against Ismaily, as well as their CAF Confederation Cup group-stage match against Abu Salem.
He did, however, start in the side's 1-0 victory over El Dakhleya SC last Friday, but was unable to complete the full 90 minutes.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming encounter between the two titans of Egyptian football, Mido acknowledged the threat Tau possesses and expressed fear at the prospect of the defender starting the game against the South African.
"If I were training for Zamalek, I would be afraid to start with Fatouh, in a match I would throw high against Percy Tau, in a match like this," he said on Al-Mehwar TV channel, per Al Masry Al Youm.
"Percy Tau has great speed and enters deep into the field.
"He is one of the best deals that Al Ahly has made in recent years.
