Joe Thomas - Gana in for Garner
Right. This side had three weeks without a game but still looked laboured at Bournemouth. They should have had a penalty at 0-0 and that should have given Dominic Calvert-Lewin a great chance to end his drought and that would have changed the game. But that did not happen and beyond that Everton offered little threat. It all needs to change.
That being said, Sean Dyche has few options to make a difference. One is to ensure Vitalii Mykolenko comes straight in for Ben Godfrey, providing Mykolenko has overcome his illness. If he has not then I would start Ashley Young at left back. I’m just not sure Godfrey at full back has worked as well as Everton need it to, not in the past four games at least.
I think the midfield needs a tweak and I would give Idrissa Gueye a start over James Garner for a bit of additional experience and a bit more dynamism in front of the back four. Elsewhere it remains the same, the absence of Arnaut Danjuma - although barely used when fit in the first half of the season - is a real issue right now as Dyche looks for new attacking inspiration.

The other question is perhaps Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Beto up top. Beto got his goal on Saturday after causing some chaos when he was introduced, as he often does. But I keep it the same tonight and probably for Burnley as well because Everton’s best chance of getting ahead of their problems on the pitch is for Calvert-Lewin to get back among the goals, which he can only do while on the pitch.
My team (4-5-1): Pickford; Mykolenko, Branthwaite,
