Jurgen Klopp believes his Liverpool team have "a chance to create their own destiny" in the coming years, saying he feels totally refreshed by the new-look nature of the squad.
Following the departures of six first-team members over the summer in Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Reds brought in Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch to give the playing department a fresh feel to it.
The emergence of Academy trio Jarell Quansah, Ben Doak and Stefan Bajcetic have also added extra weight to that school of thought and Klopp revealed he has been energised by the challenge of rebuilding his team after the lowest finish of any of his seven full seasons previously when they ended in fifth last term.

The Reds boss admitted the need to significantly change the playing staff and the mood around the club was imperative and likened it to his time at Borussia Dortmund, which ended after seven years in 2015.
And Klopp said he doesn't want his side to compare themselves to the one that won every top-level trophy available including the Premier League and Champions League between 2019 and 2022.
"It was the job we had to do," Klopp said. "I had seven years at Dortmund and when I left there it was a moment where change was needed and we would have had to change players in different roles or the manager. Dortmund in the end did both.
"So I left and they changed a lot anyway. It was a moment for that. It is not the first time I was allowed to do something like that. I love it.
