Jamie Carragher has slammed PGMOL's use of VAR during Liverpool's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur - insisting the technology is almost at a "crisis point".
Luis Diaz wrongly had a goal ruled out in the first half of the 2-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with VAR officials Darren England and Dan Cook at fault for a communication error which resulted in referee Simon Hooper sticking with the initial on-field decision to rule the goal out.
In the days since, both England and Cook were dropped for their duties for Sunday and Monday's Premier League games while Liverpool released a statement demanding a comprehensive and transparent review into the failings in North London.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, former Liverpool defender Carragher took aim at VAR and PGMOL for their handling of the situation and belives it will be difficult for referees chief Howard Webb to emerge from the incident with any credibility.
