A disused cabin has been transformed into a new changing facility at Bootle FC as a result of hard work from volunteers.
A three-week project undertaken in September was led by Volunteer It Yourself, a company which challenges young people aged between 14 and 24 to help repair community spaces while learning key skills in the process.
The scheme is targeted at individuals not in education, employment or training and those with special educational needs. It aims to provide a sense of purpose for individuals offering up their time to take part in transforming places in need of essential repairs.
VIY's latest initiative saw youngsters tasked with helping create a revamped changing space for Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC, a club that was created in April 2018 with the view of offering football coaching to local, challenged children whose access to the sport has been limited during their life.
