Roy Keane labelled Vladimir Coufal a 'lucky boy' after he escaped a potential red card for an elbow on Jeanricner Bellegarde.
Shortly before half-time in West Ham's clash against Wolves, Coufal went in to challenge his opponent for the ball.
Bellegarde was quick to lay a pass off after receiving the ball but was then hit in the head by the Hammers defender.
Referee Chris Kavanagh opted not to punish Coufal for it though, with the Czech international not even receiving a yellow card.
Sky Sports pundit Daniel Sturridge was left shocked at what he saw from the West Ham star and likened it to other sports.
«I don't know if this should be happening on a football pitch, come on, he said when receiving the incident at half-time.
»This is WWE stuff. This is rugby stuff, it's an elbow to the jaw, this is, I don't know man..."
Roy Keane believes that Coufal was lucky to have got away with the challenge, which came when West Ham were leading Wolves 2-0.
«It seems as if something has been going on before but the two of them just seemed a bit odd to timing and reckless.
»The way I look at it, lucky boy, we've seen players get a red for that. There's no danger, high up the pitch, West Ham are doing well, there's no need for it."
Should Coufal have been booked, it would have been his fourth Premier League yellow card of the season, one off a suspension.
However, he remained on the pitch as West Ham cruised towards their eighth league win of a season in a 3-0 victory.
Mohammed Kudus scored two goals in ten minutes during the first-half to set them up for the win.
Jarrod Bowen netted his 11th goal of the season in the 74th minute, with all three strikes assisted by Lucas Paqueta.
