Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu to feature as Arsenal face QPR in friendly but Timber absent
Arsenal are set to play a behind closed doors friendly against QPR this afternoon.
The Gunners have not played since last week's penalty shootout victory over Porto as a result of Chelsea's continued participation in the FA Cup. Several players will be in action for their respective nations over the international break, but a sizeable portion of Mikel Arteta's squad have also stayed behind in north London during the next couple of weeks.
With the gap between matches around 19 days for many of those players Mikel Arteta had been keen to keep his players fresh ahead of Arsenal's top of the table clash with Manchester City on Easter Sunday.
This is something that the Gunners have done in the past. Earlier in the season they faced Luton Town in a friendly at London Colney that consisted of three 30-minute thirds in which two goals from Leandro Trossard and one from Bukayo Saka secured a 3-0 victory.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey are set to be involved in this clash. There will be no Jurrien Timber in the squad however. The squad will largely be comprised of under-21 players.
