Johan Lange has spoken his first words to Tottenham supporters since joining the club in November and there is plenty to take from the technical director's thoughts on his debut transfer window in charge of recruitment.
The 44-year-old Dane arrived at Tottenham from Aston Villa just four months ago with his chief scout Rob Mackenzie and head of football insights and strategy Frederick Leth. Along with head coach Ange Postecoglou, the trio plotted a January transfer window like no other for Spurs as Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin were brought in early and then another top young talent in Lucas Bergvall signed just after the window closed as well as 11 players heading out of the door either permanently or on loan.

Thankfully this summer Spurs chairman Daniel Levy set about finally putting together a group of like-minded individuals to form a new team to lead the club, with two Australians in Postecoglou and chief football officer Scott Munn, and in Lange and his data-led recruitment team.
