Glentoran manager Warren Feeney has called on his players to follow up their stunning performance against Linfield with another dynamic display at Cliftonville in the game of the day in the Sports Direct Premiership.
In beating the Blues 4-0 in their previous match, the Glens put on the best show seen at The BetMcLean Oval for many a year, and Feeney is determined that it is not a flash in the pan in what has been an inconsistent 2023/24 season to date.
Feeney is well aware that his team will have to play well at Solitude against Jim Magilton’s in-form Reds, who are battling with Larne and Linfield at the top of the table.

“It’s going to be a very tough game and we must follow up last week’s display with a similar type of performance at Cliftonville,” stated Glens boss Feeney.
“There is no point doing it for one game. That’s what we must strive for on a consistent basis.
“I knew we had that type of performance in us. We showed great energy and hunger and played with great intensity. There is a long, long way to go, but that’s the performance and the standards that I want at this club.”
Feeney will be forced to make at least one change on Saturday due to the fact that midfielder Cammy Palmer must sit out a one-game ban.
