According to Le Parisien, West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer (27) is set to arrive in Monaco on Thursday in order to undergo a medical ahead of a loan to the Principality club.
Kehrer’s loan move to AS Monaco looks set to be confirmed, despite a late attempt from OGC Nice to scupper the move. As reported by Le Parisien, the German international will arrive in France on Thursday in order to undergo the medical before signing his contract.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender has become an increasingly peripheral figure at West Ham in recent months, but he will be afforded plenty of game time at Monaco, especially in the context of Wilfried Singo’s and Mohamed Salisu’s departure to the Africa Cup of Nations.
According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Monaco will pay West Ham a fee for the loan, whilst the deal also includes an option to make the move permanent for around €10m.
