There was no stopping Richarlison once Cristian Romero had headed Tottenham into a 2-1 lead in the 80th minute of Saturday's home game against Crystal Palace. Staring a second successive home defeat in the face following Eberechi Eze's superb free-kick on the hour mark, Spurs restored parity in 77th minute courtesy of Timo Werner's close-range finish.
Three minutes later and the Lilywhites had turned the game on its head after James Maddison had picked out Romero in the box with a precise lofted ball. Kissing the Tottenham badge as he sprinted off to celebrate in the corner of the south stand, the World Cup winner was soon mobbed by his teammates after giving Spurs the lead in such an important game.
Some eagle-eyed Tottenham fans may also have spotted Richarlison involved in the celebrations despite missing the game through a knee injury. On the eve of the Crystal Palace showdown, head coach Ange Postecoglou had confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the Brazilian would be out for three or four weeks after injuring his knee in the last game against Wolves.
Richarlison didn't appear to be suffering with a knee issue if his reaction to Romero's goal is anything to go by. Sat with the rest of the Tottenham players not involved in the game just to the right of the substitutes' bench, the 26-year-old could be seen running down the touchline to join in the celebrations with his teammates as soon as Romero wheeled away in celebration.
Going straight over to jump on the goalscorer and Maddison, Richarlison could then be seen slapping Yves Bissouma on the back of his head before embracing Brennan Johnson and Emerson Royal. It was a moment that very much highlighted the togetherness of the Spurs squad.
