Dejan Kulusevski had quite the impact at Villa Park the last time Tottenham qualified for the Champions League. Travelling to the Midlands in good form and with the Lilywhites eyeing up a top-four finish under the guidance of Antonio Conte, Spurs ran riot against the Villans and left with a 4-0 win.
The Swede had quite the say on the outcome of the game, scoring a crucial second for his team just after the break and then teeing up Son Heung-min for his side's fourth of the afternoon. It was a victory that put Spurs well on their way to Europe's top table as they came out on top in their battle with fierce rivals Arsenal one month later.
Twenty-three months on from that drubbing of Aston Villa, Spurs once again left Villa Park with all three points after recording another incredible 4-0 triumph. With Villa five points ahead of Tottenham in the Premier League table ahead of Sunday's encounter, you would have found it incredibly hard to find a single person who had Spurs down to win by that very scoreline.
That's exactly what they did, though, with Kulusevski a key figure in a remarkable second half. Having seen Tottenham produce a relentless first-half in the reverse fixture between the sides towards the end of November, Spurs couldn't even manage a shot on target this time around.
Villa did likewise in the opening 45 minutes as a real lack of quality and composure when it mattered most alluded both teams. For Kulusevski, things didn't come off for the Sweden international when he looked to make things happen and he was also unable to beat his man on a handful of occasions when in good positions.
