Chelsea cruised through to the Carabao Cup final by beating Middlesbrough 6-2 on aggregate with a rampant performance.
The Blues began the second leg a goal down to the Championship side but they removed any chances of an upset early on.
Jonny Howson’s own goal levelled the tie before Enzo Fernandez completed the turnaround just before the half-hour mark.
Mauricio Pochettino will have been delighted with his side’s start to the game and things got better when Axel Disasi added a third.
Cole Palmer then scored a fourth to all-but send his side to Wembley before he grabbed another late in the second half.
Boro then found a consolation after Noni Madueke scored a sixth for Chelsea but it didn’t spoil the mood at Stamford Bridge for Pochettino’s men.
