Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Serhiy Palkin believes Mykhailo Mudryk is the «most talented and unique player in the world» and called on Chelsea's coaching staff to dedicate more time to his development.
The 23-year-old Ukrainian made the move from Shakhtar to Chelsea for a deal worth a potential £85.5million but has yet to justify that price tag and has endured a challenging first 13 months at Stamford Bridge.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, life has not got any easier for Mudryk with Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer both preferred in the wide attacking positions, leaving the forward to just nine Premier League starts this campaign.
However, Palkin believes Mudryk can eventually fulfil his potential at Stamford Bridge if the Blues invest time and communication in the 23-year-old, who he says is the «most talented» player in the world.
Speaking to beIN SPORTS, Palkin said: «I can tell you that, for me, Mudryk is the most talented and unique player in the world. I believe that in order to get the maximum from Mudryk, as they anticipate, you need to invest in him. And these investments are not money.
»The investment is time with the coaching staff to communicate with him and to work closely with him."
