Chiefs star credits the person who 'changed' his life

A Kaizer Chiefs star has credited, and shown appreciation, to the one person who played a role in changing his life.

Defender Given Msimango has made 17 appearances since landing a move to the Soweto giants in July last year after spending around three years at TS Galaxy.

Along with Valentine's Day, the star seemed to have another love-related thing to celebrate. He took to social media to announce that it he is celebrating his fifth anniversary with girlfriend Bontle Makgalo. 

Taking to social media, he charmed his fans with the way he explained how his life changed when she had walked into it. 

"Five years ago, you walked into my life and changed it in the most beautiful ways imaginable," he wrote on Instaram. 

"Every laugh, every tear, every adventure we've shared has only deepened my love and admiration for you. Happy fifth anniversary, my love.

"Here's to countless more years of making memories together. I am endlessly grateful for your presence in my life."

You would often hear people speaking about the 'honeymoon phase' — something that has been described as a blissful period at the beginning of a relationship as both parties are still only beginning to learn about one another. 

Msimango and Makgalo, however, seem to still be in that enchanting phase and show no signs of letting up, setting an example for others.

With the DStv Premiership set to resume this weekend, the defender will be hoping to help Chiefs secure three points against Royal AM on Sunday to help his side move up the table.
