Mohamed Salah could be embarking on a Premier League farewell tour with Molineux his first stop.
The Liverpool star was heavily linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad, who were said to be willing to pay up to £171million to land the top scoring star.
With the Saudi transfer window now shut, the Reds and Jurgen Klopp can breathe a huge sigh of relief that their biggest star is sticking around — for now, at least.
The star has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield, but given his status as arguably the most iconic player in Saudi Arabia due to their close proximity with Egypt, it seems highly likely a move will come off at some point with Anfield hero Jamie Carragher believing a move could go through next summer.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Carragher said: «I think the feeling amongst most Liverpool supporters is that we've maybe got him for one more season. Rather than let him go now at the start of a new season with no chance of actually bringing someone in right away.
