A former Premier League star has dropped a bombshell claim that Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has already agreed to move to Saudi Arabia next season.
Salah was heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, and was the subject of a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad that Liverpool rejected on deadline day.
But the Middle East nation have not given up hope of finally convincing Salah to leave Liverpool, and they may be set to land their man.
Former Tottenham striker Mido, who also played for Middlesbrough, Wigan and West Ham in the Premier League, has claimed that his fellow countryman Salah has already put pen to paper on a deal to switch Merseyside for Saudi Arabia, but did not specify which club he has agreed to join.
'Mohamed Salah will be in the Saudi League next season,' Mido wrote on X.
'Contracts have been signed.'
Mido is not the only one that believes Salah will depart Liverpool at the end of the season, as Red legend Mark Lawrenson also insisted earlier this month that the Egyptian winger will move on after seven years at Anfield.
Salah's Liverpool contract is set to expire next year, but he has put speculation regarding his future behind him and thrived at Liverpool once more this term.
The 31-year-old has netted 19 goals in 28 appearances to keep his side in the hunt for a historic Quadruple.
Liverpool lifted their first trophy of the season on Sunday after beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, but Salah missed the game due to a muscle issue.
