Graeme Souness believes that Jurgen Klopp is more of a Premier League legend than Arsene Wenger due to his success in Europe.
The Liverpool boss is coming to the end of his time at Anfield after announcing his decision to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
Klopp's record at Liverpool speaks for itself, having won the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League and Club World Cup during his spell at the club which has spanned over eight years.
That trophy collection means that the German boss is rubbing shoulders with a number of English football's elite, including Wenger.
The Frenchman won three Premier Leagues, seven FA Cups and seven Community Shields, but according toSouness, Klopp will still be regarded as more of a Premier League legend.
Speaking on Simon & Souness, he said: “Wenger never won a Champions League.
“I think that one competition, whether it’s me overvaluing it or not, but I think there’s so much hype and interest and glamour surrounding the Champions League nowadays – Klopp has won it as well.
“It was the first time that Liverpool had won it [the Premier League] in 30 years.
“I just think it’s a unique group to be in.
«To be able to say you’re a manager who has won the Champions League, I think that puts you in a legendary category.”
Klopp will now be hoping to add more silverware to his collection before his time at Liverpool comes to an end.
As well as competing in the Carabao Cup final, live on talkSPORT, the Reds will be vying for success in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup before the season is out.
