Fiesta of Fire lit up the waterfront this week with a packed programme of pyrotechnic displays.
Bring the Fire Project delivered martial arts-inspired routines, flaming sword fights, and more, with the last chance to watch the show on Saturday, February 17, when a fire-breathing dragon will roam the docks.
The week has been filled with wonder and scorching hot performances but none more so than Thursday afternoon's fire walk that saw guests feel the heat for themselves.

The public were invited to tackle the legendary coal walk, an exhilarating yet niche event not for the faint of heart. Outside Martin Luther King Jr stood several professionals tasked with keeping the burning embers at bay in a cornered-off arena away from the onlooking public. Two faux grass patches were placed in the centre of the ring, next to an ashy coal fire stacked high with blazing coal. This small runway would be the line only the brave would walk.
The heat radiating from the coal was enough to put even the most fearless daredevils off the idea but to get anywhere close to it you need to sign a waiver - a pretty extensive one at that. You're then required to undergo a 90-minute training programme to prepare for the experience which is less about the physicality of the task and more about focusing your mind.
The instructor spoke with guests and told them to "Focus on the end goal," Don't wait for time to pass you by," and "Don't let fear overcome your abilities." The speech was laden with facts including the coals sitting around 1,200 degrees with the potential they could melt a car engine but they seemed less vital than a calm
