Jamie Carragher has confessed which team he is eager to see Arsenal face next in the Champions League. The Liverpool legend feels that the Gunners progressing in the competition could ultimately benefit his former club in the Premier League title race.
Arsenal were viewed as favourites in the away leg of their round of 16 against Porto, despite returning to the knockout stages for the first time since 2017. The Gunners will hope to overcome that narrow deficit in the return leg at the Emirates Stadium on March 12. When asked about the Champions League draw, Carragher backed Manchester City to retain the trophy but tipped Arsenal to potentially get the better of Pep Guardiola’s team, albeit the pundit had an ulterior motive.

I’m desperate for them to get Arsenal in the next round if Arsenal get through. I think it would be great for us if they played in the quarters.
