According to Foot Mercato, Leeds United defender Diego Llorente (30) is keen to complete a move to Paris Saint-Germain and therefore wants his loan with AS Roma to be cut short.
Since Milan Skriniar’s injury earlier this month, PSG have been in the market for a centre-back. Multiple options have been explored and enquiries have been made for the likes of Edmond Tapsoba, Nayef Aguerd and Maxence Lacroix, whilst the club accepted that more expensive targets such as Jean-Clair Todibo and Leny Yoro wouldn’t be attainable this month.
Les Parisiens have, however, been hamstrung by their relatively meagre €20m budget. One of the more realistic targets is Llorente. The Spaniard, who worked with current PSG manager Luis Enrique whilst the latter was manager of Spain’s national team, is keen on the move. Llorente’s agent have asked if it is possible for their client’s loan at Roma to be cut short. The Serie A side are open to the idea but first want to sign a low-cost replacement.
With Llorente potentially momentarily returning to parent club Leeds, the door has been opened for the Spaniard to join PSG later this month.
