Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has taken a parting swipe at Jurgen Klopp after the German announced he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
Gallagher is a lifelong and avid supporter of Manchester City, who have battled with Liverpool for the major honours over the duration of Klopp’s tenure. The forthcoming exit of the Reds boss will end a long-lasting and healthy rivalry with Pep Guardiola, who has great admiration for his counterpart.
However, Gallagher did not replicate any pleasantries and gave his thoughts to Radio X when asked about Klopp’s imminent departure. “Yeah good riddance man,” he stated.

Show host Johnny Vaughan reacted: “Absolutely right. Spoken like a gentleman…” Gallagher then chimed: “I’ve got nothing, yeah, good riddance. See you later!”
Following Friday morning’s announcement, Liverpool hosted a special press conference ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup cash with Norwich where Klopp explained his decision.
“I have been doing it (manager) for 24 years now and when you have a career I have you invest everything you have,” he said. “I realised my resources aren't endless. I prefer to put everything into this season. I am not young anymore and can't jump as high as I could, for example.
“The relief was there when I made the decision and that was another thing I realised, today it is mixed but I am not as emotional as I will be [when it's over]. I had to tell some other people this week earlier and there were some tears, but that's normal after so long together."
