Liverpool have expressed their concern about a "worrying increase" in the amount of fake tickets involving Anfield fixtures.
The Reds are currently gearing up to return to Premier League action after the international break. Liverpool face Brighton at Anfield on Sunday, before hosting Sheffield United a few days later in the top flight.
Jurgen Klopp's team are battling to win the league title in his final season with the club. Liverpool are also in the quarter-final of the Europa League, where they will face Atalanta next month.
Liverpool have at least six more home games remaining at Anfield this season, with five coming in the Premier League. There is the potential for one more Anfield fixture on the calendar, if the Reds get past Atalanta in the Europa League.

On Wednesday morning, Liverpool issued a statement warning supporters about the risk of innocently purchasing "fake or non-existent" tickets for Anfield fixtures. As part of the statement, the club issued advice to fans on where are the safe places to buy tickets to see the Reds in action.
"Liverpool FC has seen a worrying increase in the number of innocent supporters scammed into buying fake or non-existent tickets for home games in recent weeks," the statement read.
"As a result, the club would like to reiterate the places where fans should purchase Anfield tickets from in order to guarantee they are genuine. All general admission tickets should be purchased from Liverpool FC only.
