Former two-weight World champion boxer Carl Frampton believes Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley will be Northern Ireland's "highest profile" international since the legendary George Best.
The 20-year-old right-back, who made the move to Anfield from his homeland in 2019, earned plaudits for his handling of Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli in the closing stages of Liverpool's 2-0 FA Cup win at the Emirates on Sunday.
Bradley was introduced alongside fellow academy graduate Bobby Clark for the final 15 minutes in North London, with the game evenly poised at 0-0. Soon after the pair's introduction though, Jurgen Klopp's men netted an opener at the Emirates before Luis Diaz fired an injury-time clincher to set up a fourth-round tie with Norwich City or Bristol Rovers at Anfield later this month.
Taking to social media after the game, Frampton, who is regarded as one of Northern Ireland's greatest sporting exports, tipped Bradley for a successful career in the game and thinks the defender could eventually be held in similar esteem to the legendary Manchester United and Northern Ireland winger Best, who won the Ballon d'Or in 1968.

"Here’s a shout, Conor Bradley is going to be Northern Ireland’s highest-profile player after [George] Best," wrote Frampton on X.
Bradley made his Liverpool debut in September 2021 in a League Cup victory at Norwich City, a night which also saw Kaide Gordon and Tyler Morton handed their first appearances with the Reds' senior side.
