Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr have apologised to the club's China-based supporters after an injury to the former Manchester United star inadvertently sparked chaos on their ongoing tour. Ronaldo and Al-Nassr were due to play two friendly matches in Shenzhen during a training camp in the Guangdong-based city.
However, five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo sustained a muscle injury and was forced to withdraw from the travelling squad. Angry supporters appeared to take umbrage to that decision and stormed the hotel Al-Nassr's players have been staying at to showcase their frustration and disappointment over not being able to see Ronaldo play.
A compromise has been reached, though, with the Saudi Pro League club set to rearrange the two games against Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang, which were penned in for Wednesday afternoon and Sunday respectively. Ronaldo, 38, left Old Trafford under controversial circumstances 13 months ago.

He promptly signed for Al-Nassr and has totted-up 38 goals in 44 outings for them. The squad will remain in China to train - with Ronaldo watching on - while a revised date for the matches is determined.
Ronaldo said: "As you know, in football, some things you cannot control. I have played for 22 years and I'm a player that doesn't have too many injuries. So I'm really sad because Al-Nassr and myself have come to China to enjoy the tour and I have been coming to China since 2003/2004, so I feel at home here - my second home.
"I felt that I'm always special here. I feel sad. I know you are sad, too, especially the people who love Cristiano, but we have to see this in a good way."
