Following Ineos' arrival at Old Trafford, the club is planning to make sweeping changes to the landscape of the first-team squad. The Manchester Evening News reported last month that player sales could reach double figures.
When it has come to the art of selling players in recent years, it isn't something United have been able to master. They have allowed players to leave on the cheap when they could have commanded a higher price.

United plan to become more proactive in the seller's market, not least because they need to remain within the boundaries of the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules. Ineos are understood to have already earmarked sellable assets within the squad that could be sold to help balance the books.
If you asked a crop of United supporters to reel off the names of some players they think the club should be trying to sell this summer, it is likely the same names would be mentioned time and time again. In some cases, however, shifting a player is far easier said than done.
But United cannot afford to make excuses this summer. They need to reduce the size of the squad and free themselves of some of the deadwood.
Though several positions within United's squad are in need of maintenance, few need addressing more than the right wing. The Reds find themselves in a position where they have stockpiled players and now have six individuals vying for one position.
