When dreaming of a Sunday roast you might straight away think about your mum's home cooking or a stacked carvery from your local.
But from now on, when I think of a Sunday roast, I'll dream about what's on offer at Albert's Schloss. I have been to the Bold Street bar for a drink on a random Friday afternoon and for a Christmas night out with friends. And, if I'm honest, I didn't even know they served food.
After coming across some glowing food reviews, I thought I'd try it out myself and made a booking for a Sunday roast in advance. At the time of booking, I didn't realise I'd booked on St Patrick's Day and, as the meal got closer, I worried I'd made a mistake.

Albert's Schloss is known for almost always being bouncing, with live music seven days a week and plenty of flowing ale. St Patrick's Day was guaranteed to be busier which put me off at first but the party atmosphere ended up being one of my favourite parts, second to the food.
When arriving Soul City Voices, the "haus band" for the night, were already in full swing and had people up on their feet in the the bar area. Despite the party going on by the stage, the food booths were cosy and out of the way.
I already knew what I'd be eating, so I ordered quickly and enjoyed the entertainment while I waited for my feast. The chicken roast was for me and the beef for my partner, both served with a whopping Yorkshire pudding (although mine also had truffle and pork stuffing).
