Jurgen Klopp has admitted Liverpool face an anxious wait to see how serious the injuries suffered by Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota against Brentford are.
The pair were both withdrawn in the first half of the Reds’ 4-1 victory over the Bees, with Darwin Nunez then joining them in being substituted prematurely after coming off at half-time. After the game, both Jones and Jota were seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
Klopp would explain after the game that the decision to take off Nunez was only precautionary after he felt a little knock, with Liverpool not wanting to take any further risks in the circumstances.
But the German is braced for bad news regarding Jones and Jota as the midfielder limped off with a leg injury, while the Portuguese was stretchered off after Christian Norgaard landed on his knee following a coming-together.
