Sean Dyche gives Idrissa Gueye injury update and makes Beto admission after Everton draw at Brighton

Everton manager Sean Dyche explained his substitutions in the 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion and admitted that Beto should have done better with his chance to seal what would have been a crucial victory.

Jarrad Branthwaite fired Everton in front on 73 minutes but with the hosts reduced to 10 men after Billy Gilmour’s challenge on Amadou Onana, one of their own centre-backs, captain Lewis Dunk, headed them level five minutes into stoppage time after substitute Beto had fired over the bar after latching on to a threaded through-ball from Abdoulaye Doucoure.
