Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has issued an emotional apology after his country's exit from the Asian Cup.
Son had been captaining South Korea at the tournament and looking to win a major trophy with his country. South Korea had reached the semi-final of the tournament, where they faced Jordan on Tuesday.
However, Son and Co. would be on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium. Yazan al-Naimat and Musa al-Taamari scored both of Jordan's goals in the second half to send South Korea out of the competition.

Son thought he had put South Korea in front in the 19th minute when he placed a strike past goalkeeper Yazeed Abulaila.
The effort was correctly ruled out for offside, though, and now Son has issued an emotional apology for the manner of his country's exit from the tournament.
