Four X-rated chants were heard from the away end during Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium. The travelling Blues contingent were in good spirits when Nicolas Jackson put Mauricio Pochettino's side ahead with a brilliant header shortly before the break.
But when Yoane Wissa gave the Bees the lead in the second-half, the red mist descended on the away end. The travelling Chelsea contingent made their feelings about Todd Boehly absolutely crystal clear by beginning with a rendition of the infamous 'Roman Abramovich' chant.
The Blues supporters then slammed the American billionaire, labelling him an explicit four-letter word, yelling: «Boehly, Boehly, you're a ****!» Rattling through their hymn sheet, Chelsea fans were then also heard chanting Jose Mourinho's name before ending with: «F*** off, Mauricio! F*** off, Mauricio!»
Pochettino faces an increasingly uncertain future at Stamford Bridge as more and more fans demand his departure. It remains to be seen whether or not the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has a long-term future at Chelsea, with his contract – which includes the option for a further year – set to expire in 2025.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the Blues' clash against Brentford, Pochettino was quizzed on the club's expectations this season. The 51-year-old said: «Maybe I am responsible or not to explain where the project, maybe.
»I don't say I get the blame, it's only a reflection. When that happens you are talking about expectation and reaction, it's because we did not translate in the right way, the message.
