Minute-by-minute information is coming out about the investigation that the Guardia Civil, through the UCO, is carrying out into alleged fraudulent contracts of the Spanish Federation in recent years. One of those being investigated pointed to Gruconsa and Pedro Rocha.
The judge is investigating whether a 1.3 million euro contract with the construction company took place under the presidency of Pedro Rocha. An internal RFEF report denies it, as 'AS' claims.
The Spanish Federation assures that no contract of any kind has been signed with Gruconsa under the Management Commission and Rocha's presidency. In fact, after the searches, the president stopped any payments to the company and any contracts that might exist.
The RFEF had to rectify a series of incidents at the Ciudad del Futbol and to do so put the works out to tender. Gruconsa came out on top of the 3 supposed bids submitted. On 27 February, according to the source cited, Gruconsa's proposal was approved. However, the contract was never drawn up and therefore never signed.
