Tottenham have one of the best players in the world after Fabio Paratici decision

Guglielmo Vicario already believes that Tottenham teammate Destiny Udogie is one of the best left-backs in the world. Making a name for himself in his home country with Udinese, Fabio Paratici, during his time as Spurs' managing director of football, completed a deal for the youngster in August 2022 and immediately loaned him back to his former club for the remainder of the season.

Showcasing his attacking qualities in the Udinese team and going on to score and assist a number of goals for the Serie A side, Udogie finally linked up with Tottenham last summer. A player with all the attributes to be a major hit in Ange Postecoglou's system, the 21-year-old made an immediate mark on the club's pre-season tour and he hasn't looked back since.

Adapting to life in the Premier League right away, Udogie has continued to go from strength to strength for Postecoglou and Spurs this season and has so far contributed two goals and three assists in 23 appearances in all competitions. Always tipped to make the step up from Italy's Under-21 side to the senior team, the left-sided player made his international debut for the Azzurri in October and he is very much in the running for a place in their Euro 2024 squad for the tournament in Germany in June and July.

Forming a great bond with fellow countryman Vicario after linking up together in N17 last summer, the goalkeeper has waxed lyrical about the Spurs ace and believes there is even more to come from Tottenham's No.38.

«We have a great relationship because we’re Italian – we spend loads of time together at the training ground,» said Vicario in an interview with FourFourTwo.
