Tottenham have made two changes to their line-up as they take on West Ham United on Thursday night in the second of three matches in seven days in the Premier League.
Ange Postecoglou will be looking to guide his team back to winning ways after four games without a victory. They earned plenty of plaudits on Sunday after leaving reigning champions Man City with a point following a 3-3 draw, and now Spurs host David Moyes' Hammers just three days before Newcastle make the trip down to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The return of Cristian Romero from suspension finally brings a natural centre-back into Postecoglou's side with Ben Davies getting the spot alongside the Argentine. Eric Dier remains out and while the Spurs boss said that Pape Matar Sarr was likely to return for the weekend, the Senegal international does return a little bit earlier to the bench after a couple of training sessions.
In the midfield Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg comes in for Bryan Gil with Dejan Kulusevski pushing further forward and Hojbjerg earned the start after helping to change the match at the Etihad on Sunday. Giovani Lo Celso makes a third start in a row, having scored in both of his previous matches.
Richarlison will be looking for more minutes from the bench while 18-year-old academy star Jamie Donley will be hoping for more game time after making his debut for the club on Sunday.
Here's the Tottenham team Postecoglou has selected to face West Ham.
Vicario; Porro, Romero, Davies, Udogie; Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson. Subs: Forster, Dorrington, Emerson, Skipp, Sarr, Donley, Gil, Richarlison, Veliz.
