The centre-back's late leveller means that Tottenham now have an unwanted record after conceding eight goals after the 90th minute this season, which is in fact their most in a single Premier League campaign. While it must be pointed out that Tottenham have also scored a number of late goals themselves to register important points, most notably against Sheffield United, Liverpool and Man City, it is an area of concern for Ange Postecoglou and his team.

Man City's win at Brentford on Monday evening means that both they and Arsenal are now tied on 49 points and two points behind Jurgen Klopp's side, with Aston Villa in fourth on 46 points and Tottenham fifth on 44 points.
Needing to get back on track as soon as possible to strengthen their Champions League aspirations, Tottenham have the opportunity to return to winning ways on Saturday when Brighton & Hove Albion visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Postecoglou's team will certainly be looking to get one over on the Seagulls after a miserable experience at the Amex in late December after falling four goals behind after 75 minutes before grabbing two consolation strikes.
