Kylian Mbappé’s (25) move to Real Madrid is expected, but it isn’t confirmed. The Frenchman informed Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he would depart the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.
PSG are already moving on without Mbappé, with Luís Enrique using the France captain more sparingly in Ligue 1 in recent weeks. “Sooner or later, we have to get used to playing without Mbappé” is a line deployed with increasing frequency by the Spaniard.
Kylian Mbappé (25) remains coy on a potential move to Real Madrid:
«I have nothing to announce. I've said that the day that I do, I'd tell you, but I still have nothing to announce.»https://t.co/k2AUC7ny8Y
Provided with the opportunity to clarify his future during a press conference on Friday, Mbappé chose not to do so, stating that he had nothing to announce at this time. He did, however, state that his future would be sorted before the Euros in mid-June. Whilst Mbappé remains coy on his next move, his international teammate, Aurélien Tchouaméni has seemingly dropped a big hint during an interview with Téléfoot.
The Real Madrid midfielder was asked how Mbappé was perceived in Spain, to which he responded, “The Spanish are really aware of the player that Mbappé is, even if, when they see him on a daily basis, they’ll realise what a big player he is.” With Tchouaméni stating that Spanish fans will soon see Mbappé “on a daily basis“, a move to Real Madrid this summer is heavily implied… and expected.
