Although reports earlier this month had indicated that 23-year-old attacking midfielder was on the verge of a move to boyhood club Marseille, it now appears that the Senegal international will remain at newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United.
According to RMC Sport this afternoon, the Blades are on the verge of convincing the Rouen-born forward to stay on for the upcoming season. Ndiaye, who is under contract until the end of the campaign, is said to be favouring stability, having recently become a father.
Having scored 15 goals and registered 12 assists in all competitions last season, Ndiaye is keen to test himself in the Premier League and continue playing in a set-up in which his qualities are fully on display. Having previously spent time in the Marseille academy, a return to Les Phocéens won’t be taking place this summer for the Senegal forward – who will now be looking to make his mark in the top flight on the other side of the Channel.
