Newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United are set to sign Ivory Coast striker Bénie Traoré (20) from Swedish top flight side Häcken, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The 20-year-old forward has impressed in the Allsvenskan league over the course of this past campaign, logging 12 goals and two assists in 14 games, averaging one goal contribution per game. Should the Blades confirm the arrival of Traoré, it may pave the way for Iliman Ndiaye to depart Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old Senegalese international is courted by Olympique de Marseille, his boyhood club. Les Phocéens have already agreed personal terms with Ndiaye, who played a vital part in Sheffield United’s second place finish in the EFL Championship.Foot Mercato understand talks are still ongoing between the Blades and Marseille over Ndiaye’s transfer fee. Sheffield United are also in talks with Ligue 2 outfit Troyes for the signing of U21 France international Yasser Larouci.
