Jurgen Klopp gives Ryan Gravenberch update as Liverpool boss comments on injuries 'nobody speaks about'
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Ryan Gravenberch suffered a hamstring injury during Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United.
The Netherlands international was forced off in the 61st minute against the Red Devils, becoming the fifth Reds player to suffer an in-game injury during their last five Premier League matches since the November international break.
Liverpool are next in action against West Ham United in the League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, before hosting Arsenal in a Premier League top of the table clash next Saturday and then travelling to Burnley on Boxing Day. And Klopp admitted he doesn’t know if Gravenberch will be fit to feature over the festive period with the midfielder set to undergo a scan.

“Hamstring,” Klopp confirmed to reporters after the final whistle. “We will see. They told me directly after the game that it got worse during the game. This means it’s not a bang.
“He felt it a little bit and it didn’t show immediately. We hoped it would go by but it didn’t. And there was this really intense sprint with the ball which ended by the 18-yard line with a collision.
“I hope it is not that serious but in the next 10 days we have three more games so I don’t know if he will be part of them or one of them. We will see, we have to wait for the scan obviously.”
Gravenberch joins Alexis Mac Allister and long-term absentees Joel Matip, Diogo Jota, Andy Robertson, Stefan Bajcetic, and Thiago Alcantara on the sidelines. And while pointing out his side’s injury problems, Klopp admitted it does not help his side’s title-chances.
