Another full week for Tottenham on the training field goes by as they prepare to take on Liverpool in the second top of the table clash in a row. So far Ange Postecoglou's side have answered all the questions thrown at them but Jurgen Klopp's side will pose possibly the sturnest test yet.
Liverpool's last four games have all ended 3-1 and it is their goalscoring power that has propelled them up the league at this stage. They have also been the kings of the comeback, winning five times in all competitions after conceding the first goal.
Tottenham themselves have been able to react well to adversity, showing a new side to their game, and have been working with a near fully fit squad as well. It has helped Postecoglou settle down with a favourite side as well as being in a position to incorporate any returning players back in slowly.
Against Arsenal last week he handed Brennan Johnson a first start whilst keeping Richarlison and Manor Solomon on the bench alongside summer signing Alejo Veliz. Although still short in some areas across the pitch, there are certainly options for Postecoglou.
Johnson, though, had to be taken off with half and hour left of the North London Derby with a hamstring injury. However, there is not thought to be too much to worry about with the initial prognosis being just a tight hamstring rather than a more serious muscular injury, football.london understands.
He is one of several attacking injury issues Postecoglou will have to be wary of heading into the game. Fellow newcomer James Maddison was also taken off during last week's derby. He went down clutching his knee afrer a collision in the second half and left the fanbase praying for some good news.
