Barcelona sporting director Deco has opened up on the possibility of the Spanish giants signing Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the France international over the last few years, with rumours previously claiming that the Reds could bring Mbappe to Anfield. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the 2018 World Cup winner.
But Barcelona's fierce rivals Real Madrid have emerged as favourites to sign the forward with his future having become increasingly uncertain over the past two years. Mbappe is out of contract with PSG at the end of the season and has been free to negotiate with other clubs since January 1.

And now Barca chief Deco has responded to questions over Mbappe's future. The Catalan giants need to sell before signing more players given their difficult financial situation, and Deco believes selling the likes of Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong would make the Blaugrana weaker - even if Mbappe were to move to Camp Nou.
“I don't know what will happen with Mbappe," he told Esport3. "It would be a mistake to sell Araujo and Frenkie. I would like to improve the squad and not make it worse. I think it would be worse for the team if Araujo and Frenkie left and Mbappe came.”
Liverpool could soon discover what the 25-year-old wants to do at the end of the season. According to Spanish publication AS, the Frenchman is set to announce his decision in the coming days with Mbappe considering his options.
