Reece James had surgery on Thursday on a recurring hamstring problem as he looks to solve his injury woes. James posted an emotional message on social media following the operation and Pochettino has now opened up on how his captain is doing following the procedure.
«I think he feels well,» Pochettino said. «As we are talking, he has started his recovery. He is one day closer to be with the group.
»I think this is really positive. We are all really positive around him. We are all going to help him in the best way. And of course, it is always tough for a player that has a very complicated season, a very difficult season.
«It is about to recover. As I said before, it is one day less to be part of the group and we are going to take it in a positive way. The most important thing is to start to solve the problem, to help him be strong, be positive, because that is a very important thing.»
